All industries are going through a hard way. However, in recent days, the stainless steel pipe industry shows the sign of warming. After the Spring Festival, stainless steel enterprises gradually resume production, mainly due to two factors: On the one hand, at the end of last year, repayment period has passed. On the other hand, the construction plants returned to work and the demand for stainless steel pipes has good expectations.

Stainless steel pipe production process can be classified into stainless steel welding, stainless steel annealing, stainless steel hardening and stainless steel quenching and so on. The most important production process is stainless steel annealing and stainless steel hardening. Here we are talking about these two production processes.

Stainless steel pipe hardening is aimed to improve the hardness and strength of the stainless steel tube. Usually, the Austenite needs hardening treatment. Austenitising temperatures range from 980 to 1010°C. After hardening, the hardened type offers greater wear resistance and durability, making it well-suited to heavy-duty applications. Stainless steel pipe hardening can be used in the production process for the manufacturing of stainless steel pipes for construction industries.

How about stainless steel pipe annealing? As we know, there is a type of stainless steel pipe called bright annealing tube. Bright annealing process is as follows: heat the stainless steel pipes in a confined space. Then slowly cool the pipes for at least 500 degrees and then keep the stainless steel pipes cool in the natural environment. All Ferritic and martensitic stainless steels can be process annealed by heating in the ferrite temperature range. After annealing treatment, stainless steel pipes can have bright surface.

In addition to stainless steel pipe hardening and annealing, there are other treatments to improve the performance of the stainless steel pipes. For example, stress reliving can improve strength, compressive yield strength and proportional limit. Nitriding can make stainless steel pipe soft.

There are many types of stainless steel pipes available in the market. Stainless steel pipes used for water supply, stainless steel shipbuilding tube, boiler and heat exchanger tube and stainless steel pipe for constructions are all widely used in our life and industry.
